Vicki Aguirre Cox
Vicki has created a Center of Excellence. She brings over 40 years of experience of teaching. Her career began at 14 years old babysitting. After completing her bachelor’s degree in early childhood and special education she served babies with disabilities in their homes, teaching their parents about their baby’s ABILITIES versus disabilities. Vicki spent several years in three public school systems in San Antonio teaching in Pre-K through high school and as a school principal. In the evenings she worked with the Archdiocese teaching adult volunteer teachers about people with disabilities. Eleven years of her career were spent as a chief executive officer of an early childhood intervention program where she started an INCLUSIVE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER serving children with and without disabilities. At the same time began teaching at University of Texas @ San Antonio; since then she has taught at Our Lady of the Lake University, University of Incarnate Word and the Alamo Community College District. In 1990 Vicki was credentialed and recognized as a Master Trainer in the USA and began teaching the child development associates program. Ms. Vicki has had the opportunity to teach people from birth to adulthood. After 30 years in the field of education and teaching people from birth to adulthood, Vicki opened her own educational consulting business, Victoria’s INK. With her desire to improve the lives of children she and her family purchased a child care center and have converted into a Premiere SCHOOL - I’m Just a Kid! a SCHOOL IS SIMPLY A PLACE WHERE EVERYONE IS CONTINUOUSLY LEARNING- OWNERS, CHILDREN, PARENTS AND TEACHERS!
Ernest Aguirre Cox
Ernest is a retired teacher from Judson Independent School District where he taught small engine repair, welding and basic skills for all automotive work. At I’m Just a Kid! he uses his knowledge and experience to formulate new and innovative ways to help secure and protect the children. Along with bringing in his ideas and inventions for new childcare tools (toys, desk, cribs…) he teaches our infants and toddlers to how to further develop their fine and gross motor skills and movements. Children two and above have an opportunity to learn martial arts skills, as a 7th degree Black Belt, he teaches our children etiquette and self-confidence!

Gabe and Ernie Aguirre Cox
Gabriel leads through example in the classrooms teaching, modeling and guiding children. Utilizing his business savvy, he is responsible for the operational and business aspects of our school, marketing and furthering the vision. Gabe is a 4th degree Black Belt, a soccer player, and retired gymnast. His tenacity, love of life and heart keep us in check. Behind the scenes is Ernie Jr., like mom and dad he is trying to make a positive impact on the Public School System. As the Director of Counseling in Judson ISD he advocates for children and families. His psychotherapy skills are implicitly found throughout our center, he consults, advices and assists in serving all our children and families.
